About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer with expertise in PHP and Symfony to join our dynamic engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse and modern technology landscape, including backend services, user interfaces, data processing pipelines, and database management. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing the company's platform, contributing to architectural decisions and technological innovations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple programming languages and frameworks, thrives in a collaborative environment, and possesses a structured approach to solving complex engineering challenges.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with PHP and the Symfony framework, demonstrating the ability to develop scalable and maintainable backend services.
- Hands-on experience building modern, responsive front-end applications using React.
- Practical knowledge of developing Python services or data processing pipelines.
- Strong understanding of SQL databases, including query optimization and data structure design.
- Ability to work confidently across multiple languages and frameworks, adapting to project requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured and analytical approach to technical challenges.
- Experience working within collaborative, cross-functional teams including product, QA, and infrastructure teams.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using PHP and Symfony, ensuring robustness and scalability.
- Design and optimise user interfaces with React to deliver engaging and user-friendly experiences.
- Create and support Python-based data processing services, enabling efficient data management and analysis.
- Collaborate with database administrators and developers to design, query, and optimise SQL databases.
- Participate in architectural discussions, providing insights and making informed technical decisions.
- Ensure high code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
- Support ongoing modernisation initiatives by refactoring legacy systems and adopting new technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across multiple layers of the technology stack.
- Contribute to fostering a positive, innovative, and collaborative engineering culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
