Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer based in United Kingdom.
This is a senior engineering opportunity within a fast-growing consumer AI platform serving students across multiple international markets. You will play a key role in building and evolving products used by a rapidly expanding global user base.
The position combines full-stack development with technical leadership and ownership of mobile experiences. You will work across modern web and mobile technologies, collaborating closely with engineering and product leadership.
As the first dedicated senior/staff-level mobile lead, you will have significant influence over the architecture, quality, and direction of the mobile application. The environment is remote-first, collaborative, and highly autonomous, with a small engineering team where individual contributions have visible impact.
This role is ideal for an experienced full-stack engineer who enjoys hands-on development, technical ownership, and mentoring other engineers.
Accountabilities
- Take senior-level ownership of full-stack product development across web and mobile applications.
- Lead the technical direction and end-to-end development of the mobile application, working closely with engineering and product leadership.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of React Native applications, including architecture, performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend and backend systems using TypeScript and the broader technology stack.
- Develop modern web experiences using React.js, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind.
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js, Nest.js, Prisma, and AWS.
- Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to translate product requirements into robust, maintainable technical solutions.
- Establish and maintain high engineering standards, including code quality, testing, documentation, version control, and collaborative development practices.
- Contribute to technical architecture decisions and continuously improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support automated and end-to-end testing practices, including Playwright where appropriate.
- Mentor, guide, and support other engineers while helping raise the team's technical capabilities.
- Lead and manage engineering initiatives, balancing hands-on development with technical leadership and team coordination.
- Identify opportunities to improve development workflows, engineering processes, and the overall product development lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
