Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Alpaca Connect
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Alpaca Connect based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to build the tools and services that enable developers to launch and manage applications within a modern financial infrastructure platform. You will work across TypeScript, React, and Go to create secure, reliable, and intuitive product experiences. The position spans developer onboarding, application management, compliance workflows, marketplace discovery, consent, and permissions. You will integrate these experiences with identity, account, trading, and market data systems. Working closely with Product, Design, Compliance, Support, Partnerships, and Platform teams, you will help turn complex requirements into straightforward solutions. You will also own features through production and contribute to the technical direction of a globally distributed engineering team.
Accountabilities:
- Build and maintain full-stack experiences using TypeScript and React, supported by Go services.
- Improve application onboarding, testing, compliance review, approval, publishing, and ongoing management workflows.
- Transform manual support and compliance processes into clear, auditable, and self-service experiences.
- Design APIs and integrations connecting product workflows with identity, account, trading, and market data systems.
- Own features from initial design through production deployment, operation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Compliance, Support, Partnerships, and Platform teams to deliver secure and user-friendly solutions.
- Contribute to the team's technical direction and help establish effective approaches for solving complex product and engineering challenges.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience building and delivering production full-stack applications.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.
- Professional experience with Go or another modern backend programming language.
- Strong SQL and relational database skills, preferably with PostgreSQL.
- Experience designing REST APIs and integrating distributed services.
- Experience with OAuth, OIDC, or comparable authorization and identity systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver secure, user-facing features from end to end.
- Strong communication skills and sound judgment when working with incomplete or ambiguous requirements.
- Experience with developer platforms, partner portals, or marketplaces is a plus.
- Experience with compliance or operational workflows in regulated industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, or production observability is a plus.
- Knowledge of financial markets, brokerage systems, or market data is a plus.
- Experience working in a startup environment or within a distributed remote team is a plus.
