Senior Full Stack Engineer | Azure Databricks | React | Node.js, Python

Location: London - UK Hybrid
Duration: Initial 6-month contract (high likelihood of extensions)
Rate: £600 to £800 per day inside IR35

Are you a passionate Senior Full Stack Developer looking to work on cutting-edge cloud and data-driven solutions? We're seeking a talented developer to join our Trading & Supply Technology team, where you'll play a key role in designing, building, and delivering scalable applications that support critical business operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full technology stack, leveraging modern development frameworks, cloud technologies, Azure services, and Databricks within a collaborative and agile environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Full Stack Developer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications
  • Build and enhance APIs, microservices, and system integrations
  • Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using modern Front End frameworks
  • Contribute to software architecture, technical design, and technology roadmaps
  • Create technical documentation, solution designs, and sequence diagrams
  • Drive application performance, reliability, and scalability improvements
  • Work within CI/CD environments to support automated deployments
  • Deploy and manage applications across cloud platforms, particularly Azure
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers, Architects, and Engineering teams
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives
  • Mentor junior developers and support engineering best practices through peer reviews

What We're Looking For:

Front End Development

  • React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • JavaScript/TypeScript
  • HTML5 & CSS3

Back End Development

  • Node.js, .NET, Java, or Python
  • REST APIs & GraphQL
  • Microservices Architecture

Data & Cloud Technologies

  • Strong SQL experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cosmos DB, or DynamoDB
  • Azure cloud services
  • Azure Databricks experience preferred
  • CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

Nice to Have

  • Docker & Kubernetes
  • Event-driven architectures
  • Serverless technologies
  • OAuth2, SSO, and secure coding practices

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Passion for delivering high-quality software
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Experience Required

  • 5-6 years of professional Full Stack development experience
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications
  • Previous experience within cloud-native environments
  • Experience mentoring developers and supporting technical delivery
