About the Role
As a Senior Fullstack Engineer on our Web Experience team, you will play a critical role in evolving the frontend platform behind Kpler’s flagship applications: MarineTraffic and Kpler Terminal. Working within a senior crew alongside product managers and designers, you will unify our web applications on a shared monorepo and micro-frontend architecture while building platform-level microservices that power capabilities for around 20 feature teams. Your technical leadership and engineering standards will directly shape how millions of global users interact with real-time trade, energy, and maritime intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Unify multi-platform user experience: Drive the migration of flagship applications onto Atlas, Kpler's component library and shared Tailwind-based design system built in Vue 3 and React.
- Build platform-level microservices: Design and scale Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers and microservices powering maps, search, user dashboards, and preferences across web and mobile platforms.
- Elevate developer experience: Empower ~20 feature teams by modernizing monorepo tooling, CI automation, migration pathways, and frontend architectural conventions.
- Pioneer AI-first engineering: Integrate advanced AI development tools like Cursor and Claude Code across the engineering lifecycle to optimize workflows and boost technical velocity.
- Champion architectural excellence: Architect resilient, decoupled systems leveraging hexagonal architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven patterns, and micro-frontends.
- Mentor and elevate engineering craft: Guide crew members through technical documentation, code reviews, frontend chapter presentations, and biweekly developer sessions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
