Job Description

Our Belfast office is a key strategic hub for Ocorian, home to 120 colleagues across Fund Services and Global Enablement teams. With around 30 accountants in Fund Accounting, we provide a clear career pathway from trainee level through to management, supported by a flexible hybrid working model (2 days in the office, 3 from home).

Job Purpose

Join a dynamic Fund Accounting team delivering high-quality accounting and financial reporting services to a diverse portfolio of alternative investment funds. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to complex fund structures, build strong client relationships, and develop your career in a collaborative, growing business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review cash and position reconciliations, investor allocations, and fee calculations.
  • Deliver accurate NAVs and client reporting within agreed deadlines.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and annual audits.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted day-to-day contact.
  • Develop knowledge of alternative investment fund structures, particularly closed-ended funds.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure excellent client service.
  • Support and share knowledge with junior team members.
  • Contribute to process improvements, risk management, and operational excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • ACCA qualified (or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
  • 3-5 years' experience in accounting, ideally with exposure to Alternative Investments, Private Equity, and/or Private Debt funds.
