Leading the Operating Model

Partner with the Head of Fund Operations and senior leadership to design, implement and evolve the operating model, structures and systems for closed-end, semi-liquid and evergreen funds, deputising for the Head of Fund Operations where needed.

Lead the operational launch of new funds and products, from structuring input and service provider onboarding to go-live.

Own the operational setup and ongoing oversight of Luxembourg-domiciled funds, managing relationships with the AIFM, depositary, administrators and other Luxembourg stakeholders.

Owning Fund Control

Take end-to-end ownership of fund control across a portfolio of mandates, including NAVs, capital calls and distributions, management and performance fees, carried interest, fund expenses and investor reporting.

Lead the oversight framework for fund administrators and service providers, setting SLAs and KPIs, running service reviews and escalating issues to resolution.

Lead the year-end financial statement and audit process across your funds, acting as senior point of contact for auditors and driving timely, clean sign-offs.

Review and challenge valuations, NAV packs and performance data, and support valuation and governance committee reporting.

Own AIFMD and other regulatory reporting for your funds, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Partnering and Leading

Be a senior partner to the investment, distribution and investor relations teams, advising on fund terms, liquidity features, performance and investor queries, and supporting product development.

Mentor, review the work of and develop Fund Controllers, building a high-performing, collaborative team.

Shaping the Future

Lead process improvement and automation projects that make fund operations scalable, controlled and efficient.

Work with the technology team to shape the investor portal and internal tools, representing fund operations on change and transformation projects.

What You'll Bring

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
  • 8+ years of fund accounting, fund administration and fund control experience, with substantial recent experience in private equity, private credit, venture capital or semi-liquid funds, whether at an investment manager or a fund administrator.
  • Deep expertise across the private markets fund lifecycle: NAVs, capital calls and distributions, management and performance fees, carried interest and waterfalls, fund expenses, investor reporting and financial statements.
  • A track record of overseeing administrators and auditors, and ideally of launching new funds or moving funds to a new administrator.
  • Experience with Luxembourg fund structures and AIFMD reporting.
