Senior Funding Specialist
Clear Capital Finance | London, City (hybrid)
Base salary of £40,000 to £60,000 | Uncapped commission structure
About us
Clear Capital Finance is a fast growing, boutique commercial finance brokerage. We help UK and international businesses access the right funding, from working capital and asset backed facilities through to trade lines and complex property transactions, using a broad panel of UK and international lenders.
We are part of the New Age Group, a diverse collective of financial services businesses spanning FX, payments and banking. For our clients that means genuine breadth across their finance function. For our team it means warm introductions and cross desk collaboration that most brokerages cannot offer.
The role
We are looking for a senior funding specialist to join our team in London. This is a client facing role that blends origination, structuring and advisory, with the option to lead or mentor junior colleagues as we grow.
You will work with SMEs and mid cap corporates to understand what they are trying to fund and build the right structure around it. We are product agnostic, so we are interested in people with real depth in one or more of the following:
- Asset based lending
- Asset finance
- Invoice finance
- Trade finance
- Property and development finance
- Cash flow lending

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is not a siloed sales seat. You will collaborate across the group and get exposure to structured debt and real estate finance, FX hedging and international payments, corporate treasury, and embedded finance and crypto treasury solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Originate and manage your own pipeline of commercial finance opportunities
- Run in depth client needs assessments and present the appropriate structures
- Liaise with lenders to secure terms, support credit submissions and negotiate offers
- Work closely with our FX desk and the wider group to spot cross sell opportunities
- Contribute to internal product knowledge and deal structuring frameworks
- Mentor or lead junior team members, if that is where you want to take the role
- Keep CRM records current and report on pipeline, conversion and revenue
What we are looking for
- At least five years in commercial/corporate finance, gained with a broker, lender or advisory firm
- Real depth in one or more of our product sets, with a working understanding of the others
- A track record of originating and closing deals, not just managing inbound
- Confidence structuring cases and taking them through lender credit teams
- Comfortable dealing with owners, finance directors and C suite, and able to hold a commercial conversation rather than read a rate sheet
- Ambitious, consultative and genuinely interested in helping businesses grow
- Useful but not essential: exposure to FX, international trade flows or other complementary finance products

- Company pension scheme with employer contributions
- Paid gym membership near the office
- Regular team socials, offsites and networking events
