About Interior Icons
ICONS (interioricons.com) is a fast-growing ecommerce furniture company selling design-led products in the US.
We are a small, founder-led business focused on identifying and launching commercially successful furniture products and building a highly productive, data-driven product organisation.
We sell designer-inspired and replica furniture. If you are not comfortable with that business model, this role is not for you.
The role
We are looking for a highly commercial, hands-on Senior Furniture Buyer & Product Developer to own new furniture products from initial research and selection through sourcing, development, launch and commercial performance.
This is not a traditional management role.
You will personally own your products end-to-end and remain accountable for their progress, launch timing and performance.
You will typically move around 10 new product opportunities per week from research into live market testing, then personally take the winners through product development and launch.
The role suits someone who loves furniture, has strong commercial product judgment, enjoys personally doing the work and is comfortable being measured on results.
What you will do
- Continuously research furniture, interiors, competitors, designers and emerging trends.
- Identify furniture products and designs with strong commercial potential.
- Select which opportunities should be tested using commercial judgment, market evidence and data.
- Obtain quotations and assess cost, retail pricing, margin and commercial feasibility.
- Work directly with furniture suppliers and factories, primarily in Asia.
- Improve products through changes to design, dimensions, materials, finishes, colours and construction where appropriate.
- Create and manage product specifications and tech packs.
- Manage sampling, revisions and production approval.
- Drive products toward the right design, quality, cost and lead time.
- Create and improve product and lifestyle imagery using modern AI tools.
- Personally set up and launch products for market testing.
- Analyse test results and make clear decisions about which products to progress or stop.
- Own first orders, final product content and commercial launch.
- Monitor the products you launch and take action to improve their performance.
- Keep product information, systems and project status accurate and up to date.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
