Salary: £58,258 dependent on skills & experience

Role description:
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead product design and systems engineering activities for new and legacy products, including requirements management and the preparation of engineering deliverables and technical reports. You will be the technical lead for your respective programmes which may cover new product development, evolution of legacy products and support to the manufacture of in-service products. Working with the Portfolio Manager, you will also be responsible for programme delivery.
Core duties:
- Leading product design and systems engineering for new and legacy products
- Championing safety across products, processes, trials and team working practices
- Leading engineering teams to deliver programmes safely, effectively and on schedule
- Managing engineering risks, opportunities and governance throughout the development lifecycle
- Driving robust systems engineering processes, product improvements and technology integration
- Planning and delivering trials, technical reports and engineering outputs, ensuring appropriate resources and capability

Essential skills:
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent or Apprenticeship with HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Proven track record of leading and managing Engineering tasks and projects
- Proven ability to produce high-quality engineering deliverables and technical reports to time and cost
- The ability to mentor and develop others
- A good understanding of trials, tests and evaluation of products and/or processes

Join a multi-disciplined engineering team supporting the design, development, manufacture, and verification of new and legacy munitions. BAE Systems Land UK seeks a Senior Fuze Engineer to lead the delivery of mechanical or electronic fuze programmes at our Glascoed site in South Wales.
