Senior Garment Technologist/ Technical Manager
£55,000 - £60,000
Fella & Jones is partnering with an established luxury womenswear brand to recruit an experienced Senior Garment Technologist.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, fast-paced product team and work alongside the Creative Directors, taking ownership of garment quality and technical execution from initial development through to production and shipment.
The Role
- Lead development, SMS, production and shipment fittings across all categories.
- Produce clear, accurate and commercially focused fit comments.
- Support the Design and Product Development teams throughout the development process.
- Lead and motivate the Technical Team from collection launch through to delivery.
- Monitor factory progress, range plans and the critical path.
- Ensure products meet the brand’s quality, measurement and construction standards.
- Identify potential cost-price challenges and help develop effective solutions.
- Review sales and returns data to identify opportunities for product improvement.
- Approve fabric and mill reports and oversee product testing.
- Ensure labelling and testing comply with the legal and safety requirements of each market.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor factory performance.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to all safety, legislative and business policies.

About You
- A minimum of eight years’ experience within a garment technical department.
- Strong luxury womenswear experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of tailoring, garment construction and technical processes.
- Proven experience leading a team and managing the fitting process.
- Confident recording, communicating and following up on fit comments.
- A strong understanding of pattern cutting, fabrics, technical components and sewing techniques.
- Experienced in managing demanding critical paths within a fast-paced environment.
- Confident reading and approving fabric and mill reports and applying testing standards.
- Excellent supplier-management, negotiation and communication skills.
- Highly organised, solutions-focused and meticulous in your attention to detail.
- Tenacious, assertive and committed, with a genuine passion for product.
- Previous atelier experience would be advantageous.
