Senior GCP Cloud & DevOps Engineer
We’re looking for a Senior GCP Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our team in Bradford on a 12-month FTC. This is a hybrid role, with two days in the office and three days working remotely each week.
As a cloud-native organisation, our hyperscaler platform powers everything we build and deliver to customers. We’re looking for a hands-on Senior GCP Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join the team, focused on developing and maintaining AI and data products within our GCP environment, enabling fast, scalable product delivery.
You'll bring significant experience in GCP design and architecture, with a strong track record of designing, implementing, and optimising cloud solutions within enterprise-scale environments.
In this role, you’ll design and deploy applications using best practices across CI/CD, networking, security, AIOps, and observability within Google Cloud.
What will you be doing?
- Own and evolve the end-to-end GCP platform, covering infrastructure design, deployment, lifecycle management, and ongoing optimisation.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure to support AI and data products.
- Lead the architecture and design of cloud-native solutions, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and consistent product delivery.
- Drive platform reliability and performance through strong observability, monitoring, and AIOps practices.
- Ensure platform security, governance, and compliance, working closely with central Security and adhering to best practices.
- Optimise cloud spend and resource usage, balancing cost efficiency with performance and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, data, and product teams to enable rapid development and innovation.
- Create and maintain clear, high-quality documentation across platforms, services, and data products.
- Define, track, and improve key platform KPIs such as availability, deployment frequency, MTTR, and security posture.
- Support incident management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of platform operations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
