Senior GCP Platform Engineer / Architect - Agentic ERP Platform

Fully Remote | UK/Europe | Freelance Contract | Flexible 0-25 Hours per Week | Outside IR35

We are working with a global enterprise software organisation building a next-generation AI platform for some of the world's largest SAP, Oracle and JD Edwards customers.

We're looking for an experienced Senior GCP Platform Engineer / Architect to design and build the Google Cloud platform that underpins enterprise AI capabilities. This is a hands-on architecture role focused on secure, scalable, production-grade cloud platforms rather than AI research or proof-of-concepts.

You'll work closely with the VP of Platform Engineering to define reusable GCP architecture, deployment patterns and cloud standards used across multiple enterprise customers.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design and build enterprise AI platforms on Google Cloud using modern cloud-native services.
  • Architect secure, scalable GCP environments for AI workloads and enterprise ERP integrations.
  • Design container and serverless platforms using GKE, Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.
  • Build reusable Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Config Connector.
  • Implement secure networking, IAM, Workload Identity and customer-isolated deployments.
  • Develop event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub, Eventarc and Cloud Tasks.
  • Partner with Solution Architects to translate enterprise customer requirements into production-ready GCP solutions.
  • Define platform standards, reference architectures and deployment best practices.
  • Support pre-sales architecture discussions and technical design reviews.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
