About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Generative AI Architect to lead the design, architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale Generative AI solutions. This is an opportunity to shape AI strategy, influence technical direction and deliver innovative solutions that create measurable business value.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, data scientists, engineers and product teams, you will design secure, scalable and responsible AI architectures that leverage the latest advances in Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design and implementation of enterprise Generative AI solutions.
- Design scalable AI applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI Agent frameworks.
- Define AI architecture principles, standards and governance to support enterprise adoption.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing platforms and business processes.
- Ensure AI solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and cost-effective.
- Champion Responsible AI by embedding security, privacy, transparency and ethical considerations into solution design.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and provide recommendations to support the organisation's AI strategy.
- Produce architecture documentation including high-level and low-level designs, reference architectures and technical standards.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in AI, Machine Learning, Solution Architecture or a related discipline.
- Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise Generative AI solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Claude, Gemini or Llama.
- Experience designing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and AI-powered applications.
- Hands-on experience with Python and AI frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Experience deploying AI solutions within Azure, AWS or Google Cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- Experience integrating AI solutions through APIs, microservices and cloud-native architectures.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Experience
- Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock or Google Vertex AI.
- Agentic AI frameworks and autonomous AI systems.
- Vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma or Milvus.
- MLOps or LLMOps.
- Docker and Kubernetes.
- Prompt engineering and model fine-tuning.
- Experience working within regulated industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare or the Public Sector.

We're looking for an experienced architect who combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise. You'll be comfortable engaging with senior business and technology stakeholders, shaping enterprise AI strategy and leading the delivery of innovative, secure and scalable AI solutions.
