Senior General Manager - B&Q Supply Chain Fulfilment Network
Are you a senior logistics leader who can really deliver? Do you have the strategic vision to lead large-scale warehouse and transport operations while maintaining a relentless focus on safety, service, people, and commercial performance? Ready to take ownership of a complex national network and play a key role in shaping its future?
GXO is currently looking for a Senior General Manager to join our B&Q Supply Chain Fulfilment Network. Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll hold end-to-end accountability for a major region within one of GXO's most important retail partnerships, leading multiple warehouse and transport operations across the UK.
This is a highly visible executive leadership role with responsibility for a network of 11 sites, a headcount of up to 500 colleagues, and a £50m+ operation. You'll lead a team of senior operational leaders, driving strategic growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance across the network.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday. Given the scale of the operation, frequent UK travel will be required.

- Salary: £95,000 - £105,000 per annum, depending upon experience
- 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), with the option to buy additional days

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day
- Provide strategic leadership across a national warehouse and transport network, ensuring operational, customer, and commercial objectives are achieved
- Take full ownership of the network P&L, driving financial performance, cost optimisation, and sustainable growth
- Lead and develop a team of senior operational leaders, creating a high-performing culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Drive service excellence by ensuring customer SLAs and KPIs are consistently achieved across all locations
- Champion the highest standards of health, safety, compliance, and operational governance throughout the network
What You Need to Succeed at GXO
- Significant senior leadership experience within large-scale logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or transport operations
- Proven ownership of substantial operational budgets and P&L responsibility within a multi-site environment
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience balancing customer expectations, operational performance, and financial outcomes
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level
- Demonstrable experience leading large-scale change, transformation, automation, or operational improvement programmes
