Senior General Manager
Location: Poulton-le-Fylde
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 + Bonus Scheme
Are you an experienced senior operator who knows how to turn a busy site into a consistently brilliant one?
We are recruiting a Senior General Manager for a well-established, high-volume hospitality business near Poulton-le-Fylde. This is a hands-on senior leadership role offering genuine influence across people, customer experience, commercial performance, and operational standards.
You will lead from the front, creating a positive and accountable culture while ensuring the site operates smoothly, safely, and commercially. The successful candidate will enjoy being visible within the business, developing managers and team members, solving problems quickly, and continually looking for ways to improve performance.
Senior General Manager - The Role:
As Senior General Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the performance of the site. You will build a high-performing team, maintain exceptional standards, and ensure customers consistently receive an outstanding experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing the management team and wider site team.
- Driving operational performance against agreed targets and KPIs.
- Taking ownership of sales, profitability, labour, stock, waste, and the overall site budget.
- Maintaining consistently high standards of service, presentation, and quality.
- Reviewing customer feedback, resolving complaints effectively, and turning insight into practical improvements.
- Maximising capacity, bookings, and customer flow without compromising the customer experience.
- Ensuring robust compliance, due diligence, risk management, and accurate administrative reporting.
- Completing regular operational, financial, and standards audits, with clear follow-up actions.
- Managing recruitment, induction, and onboarding while ensuring every team member receives effective training.
- Building a strong and accountable management team through regular communication, coaching, and performance support.
- Working closely with senior leaders and central support teams to implement wider business initiatives.
- Identifying opportunities to improve sales, customer satisfaction, team engagement, and overall site performance.

- Proven experience as a General Manager, Senior General Manager, Operations Manager, or in a comparable senior leadership role.
- A background within a busy, high-volume hospitality, leisure, or customer-facing environment.
- A confident, visible, and inspiring leadership style.
- Strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of sales, profit, labour, and cost control.
- A successful track record of improving standards, developing teams, and delivering measurable results.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work at pace and balance strategic priorities with hands-on operational leadership.
- A genuine passion for service and creating an experience that keeps customers coming back.
