Provenance Collection is a hospitality group that celebrates the origin and character of its food, drink, buildings, and local communities across its inns, hotels, and restaurants. The portfolio includes six venues across North Yorkshire.
West Park General Manager
Earn up to £70,000 per year, including a £52,000 salary, up to £6,000 in tip jar earnings and a £12,000 annual performance bonus.
About The West Park
The West Park Hotel is the flagship venue of the Provenance Collection and one of Harrogate’s leading hospitality destinations.
Overlooking the Stray in the heart of town, West Park is a boutique design hotel, cocktail bar and upscale restaurant with three event spaces and a large covered outdoor courtyard. We are known for exceptional food and drink, attention to detail and genuine hospitality.
The Role
We are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic and commercially minded General Manager to lead our largest site and shape its next chapter.
You will oversee a multifaceted operation, growing revenue across accommodation, food, drink and events while building a culture of high performance and outstanding service. As a visible, hands-on leader, you will develop your team, build guest relationships, maintain standards and ensure the hotel thrives year-round. You will also create memorable, well-run and profitable experiences, including private celebrations, corporate events and seasonal entertainment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Own sales, profitability, service standards and guest satisfaction across the hotel.
- Grow revenue across accommodation, food, drink and events, supported by the group’s rooms revenue and marketing teams.
- Maximise bookings across multiple event spaces through proactive sales, strong relationships and compelling packages.
- Create and deliver a commercially focused calendar of events and experiences.
- Develop the courtyard and terrace through thoughtful seasonal activity and consistently high service.
- Manage budgets, labour, stock and operating costs while protecting the guest experience.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and compliance.
- Build relationships with local businesses, regular guests and the wider Harrogate community.
- Work closely with the Provenance leadership team and champion our values of Passion, Authenticity and Expertise.

About You
You will be an experienced General Manager and hospitality leader with a proven track record in a premium restaurant, bar and hotel operation. You will be commercially confident, guest-focused and comfortable leading from the front. You will also have:
- A strong record of growing sales and improving profitability.
- Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail.
- Experience developing private dining, events and hospitality sales.
- Knowledge of accommodation, food, drink and events operations.
- Genuine enthusiasm for food, drink and hospitality.
- The confidence to make decisions, address challenges fairly and take ownership of results.
- The ability to recruit, coach and retain a high-performing team.
- Commercial creativity and the discipline to deliver measurable results.
- A hands-on approach and visible presence during key trading periods.
