A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the performance and reliability of Siemens generators and auxiliary systems. A typical day might involve:

  • Collaborating with internal teams and the global engineering network
  • Providing expert technical advice
  • Authoring work scopes and reports
  • Preparing for outages
  • Visiting customer sites to support fault-finding, maintenance, and upgrades

You’ll also contribute to a sustainable energy future while advancing your own technical expertise.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Provide expert technical support for Siemens generators and auxiliary products
  • Develop and author technical reports, work scopes, and test procedures to support new product development and existing operations
  • Collaborate with internal customers and Siemens’ global engineering network to ensure effective solutions and knowledge sharing
  • Prepare for outages, including delivering customer presentations and providing onsite technical support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues during outages, ensuring timely fault resolution

What You Bring

  • A university degree in engineering with Electrical Bias
  • Some relevant power generation experience preferred but recent graduates also considered
  • A high level of practical engineering knowledge and a willingness to learn Siemens product ranges
  • Familiarity with power plant equipment and operations, particularly large turbo-generators and auxiliary systems
  • Knowledge of control & instrumentation, hydrogen systems, and ATEX requirements (desirable)
  • Experience using ERP systems, with the ability to locate drawings, BOMs, and procedures
  • A proactive and customer-focused mindset, with strong communication and problem-solving skills
