SLR is a global leader in sustainability solutions, working with clients to help make sustainability happen, within a collaborative, people-first culture.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our established Land Quality and Remediation team, delivering high profile geo-environmental and ground investigation projects.

Based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, the role will focus primarily on designing and managing ground investigations, risk assessments and remediation strategies, with additional exposure to geotechnical and geological assessments, as well as a small amount of other land quality work spanning renewables, infrastructure, power, industrial and built environment sectors.

The Role

You’ll lead the delivery of geo-environmental projects from initial assessment through to remediation and validation, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. The role includes:

  • Project and technical leadership
  • Client management and proposal support, including fee preparation
  • Mentoring and coaching less experienced consultants
  • Desk-based work alongside site supervision and monitoring across the UK

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning, ESIA and Engineering along with Global Advisory, on complex and impactful projects, with opportunities for wider UK and international exposure.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
