Why Valtech?
We’re the experience innovation company - a trusted partner to the world’s most recognized brands. To our people we offer growth opportunities, a values-driven culture, international careers and the chance to shape the future of experience.
The opportunity
We are growing our GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) offer to keep pace with changes in the search landscape. We need an experienced specialist who can deliver both our SEO and GEO services, confidently and from day one.
This is a senior, client-facing role. You will need strong technical SEO skills, strong content skills, familiarity with AI tools, and a clear point of view on where search is heading. You should be comfortable leading conversations with clients, not just carrying out tasks.
The role
You will own GEO and SEO workstreams for our clients, many of whom run large, international, and complex websites. You will be required to work across technical audits, content strategy, and client presentations.
You will thrive if you:
- Have a strong, informed opinion on how AI search and generative answers are changing the search landscape.
- Are confident advising clients directly, not just producing reports for someone else to present.
- Can move confidently between technical SEO, content and GEO strategy workstreams.
- Have worked on international or corporate-level websites, where site structure and stakeholder alignment are both complex.
- Can comfortably work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team depending on the demands of the project.
- Can take ownership of a client relationship.
Role responsibilities
- Deliver GEO Diagnostics: full audits covering technical foundations, content, structured data, and GEO performance, resulting in a clear roadmap to capitalise on opportunities.
- Deliver GEO Implementation: turn diagnostic findings into action, including structured data, technical fixes in collaboration with developers, content optimisation, and information architecture changes.
- Deliver Ongoing GEO Partnerships: run continuous monitoring, quarterly reviews, technical health checks, and reporting for retained clients.
- Write and optimise content and copy for GEO and SEO performance.
- Advise clients on the future of search, including AI search, generative answers, and zero-click behaviour, and what it means for their business.
- Present findings and recommendations directly to client stakeholders with confidence.
- Work with UX, content, analytics, and engineering teams to make sure GEO and SEO are built into the wider digital experience.
- Support new business conversations and pitches where needed.
- Support and mentor junior team members as the team grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
