An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join a respected multidisciplinary engineering consultancy near Reading. - Leading the geotechnical design of foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, slope stability and temporary works schemes.
- Managing multiple projects from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
- Reviewing and interpreting complex ground investigation data to produce robust design solutions.
- Preparing and checking technical reports, calculations and design documentation.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Supporting project delivery, commercial performance and business development opportunities.
Requirements For The Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer
- Proven experience delivering geotechnical design projects within a consultancy environment.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of current design standards and geotechnical analysis.
- Experience reviewing the work of junior engineers and providing technical support.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Able to commute to the Reading office.
