A well-established consultancy is looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to its Birmingham team.
This is a varied role covering both geotechnical and geoenvironmental work, giving you the opportunity to work across a range of projects and develop your technical and project management experience.
You'll Be Involved In
- Managing and delivering ground investigations from planning through to completion
- Geotechnical and geoenvironmental site investigations
- Ground and soil logging, sampling and interpretation of site data
- Producing factual and interpretive reports
- Geotechnical assessments and design
- Slope stability, foundations, earthworks and ground improvement
- Supporting Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental assessments
- Working with clients, contractors and other consultants
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
- Managing projects, programmes and budgets where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related subject
- Several years experience within a geotechnical consultancy
- Strong experience across geotechnical site investigation and reporting
- Some exposure to geoenvironmental work and contaminated land
- Good technical report writing skills
- Experience working directly with clients and project teams
- The ability to manage your own workload and support more junior staff
- Ideally, Chartered or working towards Chartership
