🚀 Senior / Principal Geotechnical Engineer – Ground Engineering

📍 London | 🏗️ Predominantly Site-Based with some Hybrid | 🚗 Travel & Working Away From Home Required | 💰 up to £70,000 + Package

I'm working with a major construction and infrastructure business looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing Ground Engineering team.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take responsibility for the safe and technically excellent delivery of geotechnical works, while developing project teams and building strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.

🔧 The Role:

  • Lead and supervise the safe and efficient delivery of geotechnical works
  • Manage and coordinate project teams to ensure works are delivered to a high technical standard
  • Monitor project progress and maintain clear communication with the wider Geotechnical team
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop engineers and project team members 👥
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and third parties
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental performance, and quality on site
  • Implement and maintain safe systems of work across geotechnical operations
  • Monitor project costs and report commercial changes internally and to clients
  • Communicate project and business objectives to the wider workforce
  • Help drive engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the project team

👤 What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience delivering geotechnical works within a construction, infrastructure, or engineering environment
  • Experience managing and supervising project teams
  • Strong technical understanding of geotechnical engineering and site delivery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to work predominantly on site and travel or stay away from home as project requirements dictate

  • RoGEP experience or accreditation
  • Professional Membership with a recognised engineering institution
  • CSCS Card
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid at Work
  • PTS 🚆
