A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to their London team.
This is a varied role working across a range of projects, with the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress your career within a strong technical team.
The Role
- Manage geotechnical projects from investigation through to design and construction
- Undertake geotechnical design for foundations, retaining walls, basements, slopes and earthworks
- Review ground investigation information and produce technical reports
- Complete geotechnical calculations and analysis
- Work closely with clients, contractors and other design disciplines
- Provide technical support to junior engineers
- Attend site visits and provide technical input during construction
- Support tenders, proposals and client meetings

The Candidate
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology or a related subject
- Strong experience within geotechnical consultancy
- Previous geotechnical design experience
- Good understanding of UK ground conditions and relevant standards
- Experience with PLAXIS, WALLAP or similar software would be beneficial
- Chartered or working towards chartership is desirable
- Good communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently
