Job Title: Senior General Ledger Accountant
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior General Ledger Accountant to oversee and execute end-to-end general ledger accounting activities across multiple EMEA entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting in line with IFRS/US GAAP and local statutory requirements. Italian speaking is a plus!

Responsibilities:
- Lead key aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes (including accruals, prepayments, payroll, and reconciliations)
- Support regional and group reporting
- Provide oversight on statutory financial statements and variance analysis
- Ensure strong SOX compliance
- Act as a key contact for internal and external audits
- Collaborate closely with FP&A, Payroll, Tax, and Legal teams
- Play an active role in driving process improvement initiatives and best practices through the leverage of technology and effective collaboration/communication, helping to enhance efficiency and scalability across the region
Key Activities:
- Support month-end close activities in accordance with reporting timelines, including the review of trial balances.
- Process accruals, prepayments, payroll, and other journal entries for multiple entities across Europe.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting policies.
- Lead the preparation of statutory financial statements and providing support for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Payroll, Tax, Cash, Accounts Payable, other finance, and operations teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Support other ad hoc projects and activities within the finance and operations team.

Qualifications:
- Italian speaking is a plus!
- Previous experience in a similar finance/accounting role, preferably in a multinational environment
- Proficiency in Excel and a fair understanding of general ledger applications (SAP experience a plus)
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English, Italian speaking is a plus!
- Accounting, finance, business, or economics education/qualification
- Results-oriented, flexible, resourceful, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong time-management skills, ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
- Team player and customer service-oriented, can-do attitude.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined in follow-through and completion.
