Senior Global Category Manager – Facilities

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Procurement professional to join a global procurement function and take strategic ownership of a significant international Facilities category portfolio.

This is a senior, highly visible role with responsibility for developing global category strategy, leading complex sourcing initiatives and managing major supplier relationships across areas including hard FM, soft FM, workplace services, engineering and maintenance, security, cleaning, catering and wider property-related spend.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Property, Workplace, Operations and Finance, helping shape long-term category strategy while delivering measurable commercial value across a complex international supplier base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the global category strategy for Facilities and Workplace Services
  • Manage complex sourcing initiatives, tenders, contract renewals and supplier negotiations across multiple markets
  • Drive cost optimisation, commercial value, service improvement and supplier consolidation
  • Lead negotiations with major FM and workplace service providers
  • Partner with senior stakeholders globally to understand business requirements and influence category strategy
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, contract governance and performance improvement
  • Identify opportunities to standardise specifications, leverage global scale and improve commercial consistency
  • Support wider procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide market insight across the Facilities supplier landscape, cost drivers and emerging trends

Required Experience:

  • Strong strategic procurement experience across Facilities Management, Property, Workplace Services or related indirect categories
  • Proven experience developing and implementing category strategies across complex organisations
  • Experience managing significant spend and leading high-value commercial negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of hard FM, soft FM, workplace services and major FM supplier markets
  • Experience operating within an international or global procurement environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders
  • Strong commercial, contractual and supplier management capability
