Senior Global Pricing Actuary

As a Senior Global Pricing Actuary, you will play a crucial role in our L&H CEO / CPUO / GLOBAL Pricing department. Your primary responsibility is to support and guide business acceptance decisions for referred pricing cases, particularly those related to global longevity referrals. You will work closely with the Global Head of Referrals and collaborate with various teams to ensure a comprehensive and informed decision-making process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the organization and optimization of the Global Referral process for Longevity business, extending to Protection and Financial Solutions as needed.
  • Lead the Pricing review, forming the official opinion of the Pricing Function on referred deals, and coordinating the Business Acceptance review for complex transactions.
  • Review Best Estimates and pricing/modelling, ensuring accurate deal structuring and effective communication of expert judgment decisions.
  • Ensure strong communication and coordination between pricing teams, Head of Referral, Chief Pricing Actuary, and Head of CPUO, including timely escalation of issues.
  • Participate in the review and governance process for updating Best Estimate assumptions for global Longevity and Protection business, engaging with local and research teams.
  • Lead or contribute to pricing workstreams during cross-reviews of business acceptance processes, ensuring alignment with global strategies.
  • Animate and engage with the Referral Community, sharing best practices, learnings, and updates on referral processes and activities.
  • Actively participate in the Pricing Function Community, facilitating knowledge transfer, best practice sharing, and communication of news and updates.
  • Follow up on new methodology publications and provide support to local teams for implementation.
  • Occasionally participate in client meetings, deal due diligences, and negotiations, contributing to the overall success of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive experience in the international Insurance/Reinsurance industry, with a strong background in Pricing roles.
  • Proven expertise in Longevity business, including pricing/modelling and Best Estimate derivation.
  • Management and project management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience in multiple markets and products is an advantage, showcasing a diverse skill set.
  • Strong appetite for working in an international context, with a track record of successful cross-team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with actuarial modelling tools such as R and Python is highly desirable.
  • Open-minded, results-driven, and organized approach to work, with excellent communication skills, especially in complex environments.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • A strong alignment with our company's values and a passion for contributing to our global pricing strategies.
