Hungry for a challenge?

That’s good, because at Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET) we believe everything is possible, or, as we say, everything is on the table. We are a leading global online food delivery marketplace. Our tech ecosystem connects millions of active customers with hundreds of thousands of connected partners in countries across the globe.

Our mission? To empower every food moment around the world, whether it’s through customer service, coding or couriers.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a proactive technical leader with a robust engineering foundation to drive our platform forward. As a Senior Engineer, you will bring deep expertise in system architecture from day one, guiding the team and shaping the technical vision required to build the high-volume POS and menu integrations that keep global brands running smoothly.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • As an engineer in the JET Connect team, you won’t just be writing code; you’ll be building the high-volume POS and menu integrations that keep global brands like McDonald’s, KFC, and Domino's running smoothly across 10+ countries.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Build, scale, and lead in Go: Architect, develop, and maintain robust, high-throughput microservices and complex features in Go.
  • Drive system design and architecture: Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable solutions, shape the wider integration architecture, and confidently steer technical discussions.
  • Champion system health: Define observability standards and lead our weekly signal channel reviews to identify, investigate, and proactively resolve production anomalies before they impact our partners.
  • Elevate engineering standards: Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, lead collaborative debugging sessions for complex problems, and drive best practices across the engineering team.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner strategically with product and delivery teams to ensure our integrations roll out smoothly and reliably across international markets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
