About the Role
Are you ready to take your governance and company secretarial expertise to the next level? At Beyond Governance, we’re looking for a talented governance professional to join our growing team of ex–in-house experts. This is a chance to work across a wide range of clients and projects, making a tangible impact on corporate governance while enjoying the flexibility of our remote-first set-up.

We are trusted advisers to boards, General Counsel, Company Secretaries and senior executives across FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and AIM-listed companies. Our expertise helps organisations strengthen governance, improve decision-making, and navigate the challenges of operating in a listed environment.
What You’ll Do
You’ll provide high-quality support and advice to clients across all aspects of governance and company secretarial work, including (but not limited to):
- Preparing and reviewing annual reports
- Managing AGMs and general meetings
- Acting as Secretary for board and committee meetings – including minuting, creating board packs and papers
- Overseeing insider lists, share dealing policies and MAR compliance
- Completing regulatory filings with Companies House, the FCA and other bodies
- Leading on governance and company secretarial projects such as M&A, share capital projects, new framework implementation, compliance health checks, and gap analyses against governance codes
- Managing cash and DRIP dividends
- Supporting on share schemes (EMI, LTIP, CIP, SIP, SAYE)
- Overseeing subsidiary governance, statutory compliance and entity management

How You’ll Work
Assignments may be ongoing through our CoSec on Demand service, or on a project basis.
- You’ll play a role in raising the profile of Beyond Governance through contributing to client work, supporting sales and marketing initiatives, and—in time—taking part in webinars and podcasts alongside senior team members.
- You will be expected to have line management responsibility.
- Flexibility is built-in: You will need to be flexible to work in client office as they require potentially up to 4 days per week in office attendance.

What We’re Looking For
Mandatory: Fully CGIUK&I (Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland) qualified either ACG or FCG, with a minimum of 10 years in-house governance team experience
- A self-starter with strong technical expertise, able to work independently while collaborating closely with our supportive team
- Someone with the confidence to contribute value-add ideas, and the ambition to grow your influence in the governance space
