At Clyde Valley Group, good governance helps create the conditions for confident decisions, strong assurance and better outcomes for our customers, colleagues and communities.

We are looking for a Senior Governance and Corporate Services Officer to join our Corporate Services Team in a pivotal role at the heart of the organisation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, gets the detail right and understands how effective governance, compliance and corporate support help an organisation to thrive.

Reporting to our Finance and Corporate Services Director, you will be the central point of contact for governance and corporate services across the Group. You will support our Board and Committee structure, lead key governance processes, act as our Data Protection Officer and help ensure our arrangements remain robust, responsive and future focused.

You will also lead and support a small team, building confidence and clarity in how we deliver corporate services. We are looking for someone with sound judgement, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, Board members, regulators and partners.

You do not need to have worked in housing before, although knowledge of the social housing sector and the Scottish Housing Regulator’s framework would be helpful. What matters most is that you bring strong governance experience, excellent writing and organisational skills, a proactive approach to improvement and a genuine commitment to our values and purpose.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
