Senior Governance & Risk Analyst | London | 1 day in office
Are you an experienced Risk & Compliance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're working with a highly regarded UK law firm seeking a Senior Governance & Risk Analyst to join its established Governance & Risk team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently operating as a Senior Analyst or Compliance Advisor who is looking to broaden their experience across governance, risk and regulatory compliance, while gaining valuable management responsibility.
The Opportunity
This is a varied, hands-on role combining technical compliance advisory work, team supervision, stakeholder management and wider governance projects. You'll play a key role in supporting the firm's risk management framework, acting as a trusted adviser to colleagues across the business and helping to drive a strong culture of compliance and quality.
You'll also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, managing and mentoring junior team members while working closely with senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support junior members of the Governance & Risk team
- Provide practical advice on AML, conflicts, SRA regulatory requirements and data protection matters
- Manage and oversee key compliance processes and controls
- Review and interpret regulatory developments and assist with policy updates
- Deliver compliance training across the business
- Support internal audits and external accreditation processes
- Prepare governance reports and committee papers
- Build strong relationships with partners and business services teams to promote best practice and risk awareness
- Contribute to firmwide compliance and governance projects
About You
You'll ideally have:
- Strong Risk & Compliance experience gained within a law firm
- Good knowledge of AML regulations, conflicts management, SRA requirements and wider regulatory compliance
- Experience handling complex compliance queries and providing risk-based advice
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Previous supervisory or mentoring experience, although formal management experience is not essential
