Background
Registry Services, within Academic Services, is establishing a new Graduation and Awards team to deliver a dedicated focus on student awards, certificate production and graduation ceremonies. Working closely with Registry Services, Schools and the Events Team, the Senior Graduation and Awards Officer will play a key role in coordinating operational delivery, ensuring data accuracy, event management and supporting an excellent experience for graduating students.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of awards, certificates and graduation activities, ensuring data is accurately processed and validated.
- Lead operational planning for graduation cycles, act as an escalation point for complex cases, support process improvements and provide guidance to team members.
- Develop stakeholder communications and work collaboratively with Schools and Events colleagues to ensure successful delivery of graduation and award processes.
Person Specification
- You will have experience of student records administration, award processing or related higher education operations.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills are essential, together with the ability to interpret regulations, manage complex data accurately and meet demanding deadlines.
- Experience supervising colleagues, working with student records systems such as SITS, and delivering large-scale operational activities would be advantageous.
Additional Information
Whilst the role is hybrid, there is a frequent amount of on-site presence required during the preparation and running of graduation ceremonies, currently held in January and July every year. Peak periods of certificate production may also require more days on site.
