Role Summary
We are looking for a highly accomplished Senior Graphic Designer to create and deliver exceptional work across brand, campaigns, digital experiences, motion, video, presentations, web, content, and creative communications. This is a hands-on senior role for someone who can move confidently from concept to execution, translating complex briefs into clear, compelling visual and written stories across multiple channels.
You will combine strong design craft, technical fluency, creative writing and communications capability, commercial awareness, and sound creative judgement. You will own projects from initial brief through final delivery and, where required, act as project lead across both new-business pitches and confirmed client work - leading project teams, coordinating contributors, setting priorities, managing scope and resources, and ensuring work is delivered to the required creative standard, on time, and within agreed budgets.
As a senior member of the creative team, you will be expected to raise the standard of the work as well as produce it: reviewing and improving output, mentoring less-experienced designers, strengthening templates and workflows, improving the clarity and consistency of visual and written communications, identifying better tools and production approaches, and staying current with evolving design, motion, digital, content, and AI-assisted creative practices. For the right person, the role offers a clear path toward broader creative leadership within Whitewall.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from brief through delivery across pitches and confirmed client work, taking responsibility for project teams, workflow, priorities, communication, decision-making, scope, resources, budgets, timelines, and creative standards.
- Interpret client and internal briefs, identify the core communication challenge, develop strategically relevant and visually distinctive concepts, and translate creative direction into clear actions and expectations for the wider team.
- Create high-quality graphic design across brand identities, campaigns, marketing materials, social content, digital assets, reports, proposals, and other client-facing communications.
- Design and produce motion graphics, animation, and video content, including storyboards, style frames, editing, compositing, titles, transitions, graphics packages, and platform-ready outputs.
- Lead the visual development of presentations and pitches, using PowerPoint and related tools to create clear narratives, sophisticated layouts, information graphics, and polished executive-level materials.
- Design responsive website and digital experience layouts in Figma and web/CMS environments, collaborating with developers to ensure the final build reflects creative intent.
- Use working knowledge of WordPress, Elementor, HTML, and CSS for content updates, light customisation, prototyping, troubleshooting, and integration of appropriate third-party tools or plugins; basic JavaScript knowledge is advantageous.
- Create scalable templates, design systems, reusable assets, motion presets, and organised file structures that improve consistency, speed, and quality.
- Optimise assets for different channels and devices, with strong attention to accessibility, responsive behaviour, web performance, SEO, legibility, file size and format, image quality, motion behaviour, technical specifications, brand consistency, and senior-level quality control.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities, establish realistic milestones, maintain momentum through fast iterations, and flag risks, blockers, resource needs, or scope issues early.
- Present creative concepts, written narratives, and design rationale clearly to clients and internal stakeholders; contribute confidently to meetings, workshops, and presentations; respond constructively to feedback; and protect the strength of the work while adapting intelligently to business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Design/Creative leadership, Experience & Digital, project management, developers, writers, producers, freelancers, and other specialists to deliver integrated creative solutions.
- Provide practical guidance, feedback, and mentorship to junior and mid-level creatives, helping improve craft, confidence, production discipline, and consistency.
- Explore and apply emerging creative technologies, including AI-assisted tools, where they improve ideation, production, iteration, or efficiency, while maintaining strong human judgment, originality, quality control, and appropriate client confidentiality.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
