Senior Graphics Architect
Cambridge, UK | Onsite
A global technology company is expanding its advanced R&D team in Cambridge, working on next-generation graphics and GPU technologies. The Senior Graphics Architect will develop and optimise advanced rendering algorithms across ray tracing, path tracing, PBR and image reconstruction. This Senior Graphics Architect role offers the opportunity to combine graphics research with hands-on GPU engineering and influence future rendering technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced graphics and rendering algorithms.
- Optimise GPU workloads for performance, latency and power efficiency.
- Work across ray tracing, path tracing, PBR and image reconstruction.
- Research emerging graphics technologies and influence technical direction.
- Translate graphics research into practical, high-performance solutions.

Required Experience & Skills
- Strong commercial experience in computer graphics, rendering or GPU algorithms.
- Hands-on experience developing and optimising GPU algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of modern rendering pipelines and GPU parallel computing.
- Experience with Ray Tracing, Path Tracing, PBR, SSR, SSAO or image reconstruction.
- Strong C/C++ and algorithm-development skills.
- Experience with Vulkan, OpenGL/OpenGL ES, DirectX 11/12, Metal or OpenCL.
- Degree in Computer Science, Graphics, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.

- GPU architecture experience
- Commercial product development
- Neural rendering/super-resolution
- PhD
- Publications or patents
