The Role
Wrexham AFC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Groundskeeper to support the maintenance and presentation of playing surfaces and surrounding landscapes across the Club facilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare, maintain and present natural grass and artificial playing surfaces across all Club sites.
- Support matchday and training operations by ensuring pitches meet professional standards.
- Maintain landscaped and external areas as directed by the Head Groundskeeper.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain irrigation systems.
- Assist with pitch renovation, repair and seasonal maintenance programmes.
- Liaise with stakeholders to support planned facility usage.
- Ensure equipment, machinery and materials are properly stored, maintained, and serviced.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain understanding of legislation relating to chemicals and hazardous substances.
- Undertake risk assessments and respond to operational issues and emergencies.
- Promote safe working practices and efficient use of resources.
- Undertake other duties as reasonably required.

Experience and Qualifications required:

- NVQ Level 3 (or working towards) in Sports Turf Management, Greenkeeping or related discipline. Practical experience in sports turf or grounds maintenance.
- Desirable - PA1, PA2 and PA6 certifications; IOSH qualification; experience in elite sport.
