We're looking for a Senior Group Leader - Paint Operations to join our Manufacturing Operations team at Gaydon, leading from the front and helping to shape a high-performing culture where people, quality, and operational excellence thrive together.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader who is passionate about developing people and driving performance. You'll take ownership of a critical area of our operation, empowering your team to achieve ambitious quality, volume, and cost targets while creating an environment where continuous improvement is part of everyday working life.

As a leader within the business, you'll be responsible for:

  • Planning and coordinating manufacturing activities
  • Ensuring your area has the people, materials, and equipment needed to consistently deliver exceptional results
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
  • Creating a culture of accountability, engagement, and collaboration
  • Supporting the next generation of talent to reach their full potential

You'll be someone who thrives on improving the way things are done. Whether that's driving lean manufacturing initiatives, removing non-value-added activities, improving quality performance, supporting problem resolution, or challenging established processes, you'll be motivated by delivering meaningful change and achieving tangible results.

Success in this role will require:

  • A strong background in manufacturing operations
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced production environment
  • Confidence in motivating others, managing priorities, and maintaining high standards across safety, quality, cost, and delivery
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing methodologies, continuous improvement tools, and problem-solving techniques
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfort using business systems and Microsoft Office applications to support operational performance and decision-making
