About the role
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will be the sole legal counsel for the region (UK and Benelux).
- You are expected to act as a legal generalist who is well versed with different legal, commercial and compliance topics.
- You will be working in a fast-paced and ever-changing business and legal environment. Therefore, you need to be agile, willing to adapt and also capable of driving change.
- As we are a truly international company, you will interact and get involved in matters in other jurisdictions and with other legal teams across the world. You therefore need to feel comfortable working with different jurisdictions.
- Alongside your legal responsibilities, you will also be part of the extended commercial leadership team for the UK and Benelux region.
Location
- The role is based in Luton.
- You are available for travel to the various Electrolux offices across the region (Belgium and the Netherlands) on an occasional basis.

What you'll do
- Legal advisory: Act as the primary legal advisor for the UK and Benelux commercial operations, providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice to management and functional teams on a wide range of legal matters, covering areas such as distribution, dealership, supply, customer service, procurement, logistics, marketing and compliance.
- Compliance: Support Electrolux’s compliance efforts particularly in the anti-trust and anti-corruption fields, and collaborate with Group functions to deliver training and guidance on key legal and compliance topics.
- Litigation Management: Oversee and manage litigation and disputes, working closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders to protect Electrolux interests in legal proceedings.
- Risk Management: Identifying and assessing legal risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
Who you are
- English law degree.
- Solid experience (approximately 10 years) with a reputable law firm and/or as an in-house counsel in a multinational company. Proven experience in managing commercial, legal, and compliance/governance matters with a regional scope is a strong plus.
- Experience in a direct-to-consumer or e-commerce environment is desirable but not mandatory.
- Fluency in English is a must.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex legal issues and provide practical, solution-oriented advice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including other legal professionals, business units, and external counsels.
- High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to upholding the company's values and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
