Senior Growth Strategist: paid social, paid search and growth: strategy and execution, with an agency that treats performance as a craft rather than simply dashboard analytics.

πŸ“ Location - London/Hybrid (office culture matters)
πŸ’° Salary - DOE (the right person matters more than the band)
πŸ•’ Type - Permanent or freelance-to-perm

About the role

We're working with a creative-led growth agency built for ecommerce brands whose paid marketing worked, until it didn't. This role focuses on paid social, paid search and performance creative for fashion, beauty and wellness names you'll recognise.

This agency is built on one belief: an ad nobody remembers is just expensive wallpaper. They see media buying and the creative iterations that fill those slots as a true craft. The premise is simple: understand where your audience truly spends their time and create beautiful content that appeals to the targeted audience. The results will follow.

They work in two-week cycles. Every campaign gets a goal CPA set from the client's own profitability. What hits earns spend and richer creative. What misses gets cut. No debate, no politics.

The role pairs you with the agency's Growth Lead, an obsessive who knows Meta, creative and funnels inside out and never misses a detail. You bring the other half: structure, process, consistency and clear client communication. Working closely in a 'left-brain-right-brain' capacity.

Over time you take day-to-day delivery off the Growth Lead so he can focus on strategy and experiments. This role requires someone hungry for both strategy and execution, not one or the other. You set the plan, then build it in the ad account yourself.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right β€” and where to focus when applying.

What you'll do

  • Own growth on your accounts end to end: diagnosis, targets, plan, build, optimisation and reporting
  • Set goal CPAs from each client's margins, AOV and LTV, and hold the team to them
  • Run paid social (Meta, TikTok) and paid search (Search, Shopping, PMax, YouTube) as one system
  • Run the two-week cycle: cost-cap tests, clear scale or kill calls, learnings back to creative inside the cycle
  • Work side by side with creative strategists and designers, turning account data into hypotheses and briefs
  • Build the rhythm that makes delivery consistent: pacing, test logs, weekly reports, client calls
  • Lead client comms on your accounts: proactive, and backed by numbers
  • Coach and review the media buyers in the team

What you'll bring to the table

🎯 Experience & background

  • 5+ years in paid growth for DTC or ecommerce brands, agency or in-house
  • Expert on Meta (cost caps, CBO, Advantage+, creative testing at scale) and strong on Google Ads
  • Commercial fluency: MER, new-customer CAC, contribution margin, LTV. You know platform ROAS isn't the truth
  • Confident with Shopify: the funnel, offers, landing pages, and how the pixel and conversions API fit together
  • You get creative. You can say why an ad works, write a sharp brief and spot fatigue in the data

🧠 Mindset & approach

  • Organised by default. You build process, write it down and run it every week
  • Clear, confident communication with clients and the team
  • Real curiosity, hunger to learn and one hell of a work ethic

🌟 Bonus points

  • Experience working with TikTok at scale and YouTube
  • Used to incrementality testing (geo holdouts, Conversion Lift)
  • Knowledge of Triple Whale, Dema, Motion or Foreplay
  • Fashion, beauty or supplement brand experience
  • Experience leading a small team

What great looks like at 90 days

  • You run the day-to-day on your accounts, and clients come to you first
  • Reporting and pacing run like clockwork, every week
  • Your accounts are at target, or on an agreed plan to get there

Why join?

  • πŸ”₯ Real ownership over the growth of your own accounts
  • πŸ€– A team that uses data to sharpen judgement, not replace it
  • 🎨 Creative and media sat together, working in the same cycle
  • πŸš€ A high bar, a fast pace and results you can actually point at
  • πŸ“ˆ A young agency on a genuine trajectory, with room to shape how it runs
  • 🀩 Working on exciting, consumer brands across lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and wellness

This isn't for you if

  • ❌ You want to strategise without touching an ad account
  • ❌ You judge success on platform ROAS alone

Fancy it?

If you want to be a part of a team focused on stopping performance marketing breaking good businesses, this is the role for you. We're looking for operationally minded growth strategists who have an eye for detail, structure, and consistency.

Paid media obsessives with a hunger and willingness to learn and are happy to be judged on results are the kind of people we're after.
