Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Experience with district heat networks and commercial pre-insulated pipework would be highly desirable.

As part of our engineering team, your duties will include completion of and supervising roles for:

  • Installation of heat pump systems: This includes the completion of setting up and integrating heat pump units mainly for large-scale Pump Rooms / Plant Rooms / Energy Centres but inclusive of individual residential properties, ensuring all connections, fittings, and system components are properly installed and comply with relevant regulations and standards. This comprises the vast majority of Rendesco projects.
  • Installation of Heat Interface Units: Fitout of Heat Interface Units (HIUs) in residential settings, which involves connecting these units to centralised heating systems to provide efficient heating and hot water supply within individual homes. Awareness of this and how HIUs integrate into larger networks is beneficial.
  • Pipefitting of heating/cooling/hot water distribution systems: Installing, aligning, and securing pipework for the distribution of heated, cooled, or hot water throughout buildings, ensuring optimal system performance and adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Installation of fusion weld pipework: Performing and coordinating fusion welding, to join pipework at ground level for large scale construction projects. Ensuring durable and leak-proof connections for the transport of heating and cooling fluids. Additionally, some experience is preferred for working within residential properties.
  • Installation of PIP {pre insulated pipework}: Management and laying / connecting pre-insulated pipework in trenches or at ground level, focusing on efficient insulation and long-term reliability for heating and cooling systems in outdoor or underground installations.
  • Basic electrical work to the various parts of our heat pump systems: Performing essential electrical tasks related to the heat pump systems, such as wiring, connecting control panels, and ensuring proper integration of electrical components with system mechanics as and if required.
  • Fault finding and fixing any problems that arise: Diagnosing and resolving any operational issues within the heat pump systems, using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • QA/QC: Taking ownership to ensure that all inspections and Quality Control check points are completed to industry, Rendesco and customer standards to ensure high quality delivery and performance of our projects, installs and equipment. This will be reported into the Installation Supervisor/ Manager for confirmation, using the Rendesco QA/QC platform.
