You’ll play a vital part in contributing to a positive health and safety culture and ensuring regulatory requirements are met across all our sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You'll lead on health and safety related audits, benchmarking compliance against statutory requirements and working closely with relevant departments to implement and close out recommendations.
  • Working alongside the Head of Fire, Health and Safety, you'll contribute to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety policies, procedures and arrangements across the organisation.
  • You'll design and deliver engaging health and safety related training programmes, ensuring colleagues remain informed, compliant and equipped with best practice knowledge.
  • You'll work with the event teams and operational departments, providing health and safety advice throughout event planning, build periods and delivery.
  • Leading and developing the Health and Safety Advisor, you'll help build capability within the team and contribute to the delivery of strategic objectives, deputising for the Head of Fire, Health and Safety when required.
  • You'll analyse and report on health and safety performance data, presenting findings, trends and recommendations to senior stakeholders and management forums.

Essential Criteria:

  • You’ll hold a recognised health and safety qualification, such as a NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or MSc in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
  • Ideally, you’ll have reached CMIOSH level or being working towards this.
  • Significant experience working in a multi-functional, fast-paced environment, ideally involving events or a public-facing organisation.
  • Proven experience conducting health and safety audits and driving continuous improvement, preferably within property safety environments.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of health and safety legislation across a range of operational settings.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to present information and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering health and safety training and creating clear, concise reports, policies and guidance documents.
  • Proven people management or supervisory experience, with the ability to support and develop others.
  • Strong organisational skills, a proactive approach and the ability to prioritise a varied workload while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience of working with online Health and Safety Management Systems.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications ideally including PowerPoint and PowerBI.
