A leading and innovative manufacturing organisation in County Tyrone is seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of Health, Safety, Environmental and Wellbeing initiatives within a highly successful business that is committed to operational excellence, continuous improvement and employee wellbeing.

Your New Role

As Senior HSE Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining a positive safety culture while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards. Working closely with management and operational teams, you will provide expert guidance on all HSE matters and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of HSE strategies, policies and management systems.
  • Providing expert HSE advice to managers, supervisors and employees.
  • Promoting a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement and behavioural safety initiatives.
  • Conducting risk assessments, safe systems of work reviews and hazard identification activities.
  • Leading incident, accident and near-miss investigations, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
  • Delivering HSE training, inductions and awareness programmes across the organisation.
  • Monitoring compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and industry best practice.
  • Conducting workplace inspections, audits and compliance assessments.
  • Supporting environmental compliance activities, sustainability initiatives and waste management programmes.
  • Preparing HSE reports, analysing performance data and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Supporting and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Working alongside Occupational Health and HR teams to support employee wellbeing initiatives.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor or leadership role within manufacturing, engineering or another industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and Northern Ireland health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The confidence to influence and engage employees at all levels.

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership of IOSH or another recognised HSE professional body.
  • Experience working with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
