About The Project
This role sits at the heart of the HS2 Euston Station project — one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes. As construction partner for the new Euston Station, MDJV is working alongside HS2 Ltd and design partners to deliver:
- New platforms and concourse structures
- Interchange links to London Underground and National Rail
- A future-facing station that will serve millions of passengers for generations to come
This is a once-in-a-career opportunity for a senior health and safety professional to make a real mark on a nationally transformative project.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead H&S advisor for your area — keeping the team updated on new developments and applying professional standards for best practice
- Maintain core areas of HSE expertise and share knowledge to develop, train, and mentor others
- Apply H&S tools and techniques, define local strategies, and drive continuous improvement in project safety performance
- Provide practical H&S advice to MDJV and project managers to help them achieve project objectives
- Interpret and advise on contractual and statutory H&S requirements to protect project integrity
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to maximise the influence of HSE expertise
- Establish and nurture relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers to support the achievement of project targets
- Champion a positive safety culture across the project at all levels

Requirements
- Qualification: Appropriate diploma plus professional H&S qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH) or significant relevant experience in a senior safety role
- Experience: Proven track record as a senior health and safety manager or HSE officer on major construction or infrastructure projects
- Business Acumen: Ability to interpret and align H&S objectives with broader business goals
- Technical Skills: Full awareness of relevant IT tools and H&S management systems
- Communication: Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and report-writing skills — confident presenting to varied audiences at project and business unit level
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and inspire others in project values and safety culture
- Mindset: Proactive, solutions-focused, and a genuine ambassador for health and safety

Salary & Compensation
Estimated Salary Range: £70,000 – £90,000 per year
