Healthcare Assistant – Nursing Home
Location: Patcham Nursing Home, Brighton
Pay: £13.70 per hour + weekend enhancements
Hours: (Days) 08:00 - 20:00 | (Nights) 20:00 - 08:00

About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents to live safely, comfortably and with dignity. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care and support with daily living activities.
- Supporting mobility, independence and wellbeing.
- Encouraging good nutrition and hydration.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Supporting residents living with dementia.
- Assisting with nursing and palliative care needs.
- Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any concerns.
- Completing accurate care records and documentation.
- Working closely with Registered Nurses and the wider care team.
- Helping to maintain a safe, calm and welcoming environment.
About You
We're looking for people who:
- Have previous experience providing care and support to older people.
- Are compassionate, patient and respectful.
- Are reliable and committed to delivering excellent standards of care.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Work well as part of a supportive team.
- Take pride in making a positive difference to residents' lives.
Previous experience within a care home, nursing home or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who shares our values and is passionate about delivering outstanding person-centred care.
