Lead safety. Influence leaders. Protect people and communities.
The Senior Health & Safety Business Partner is a senior leadership role within MBNL’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) function, reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment. Managing a team of Health & Safety Business Partners, this role is central to embedding MBNL’s vision of “Everyone Home Safe and Well Every Day” across a complex, multi‑stakeholder organisation.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor and change agent—bringing together operational insight, strategic oversight, and performance intelligence to identify, manage, and reduce health, safety, and environmental risk across MBNL’s activities.
Why this role matters:
As MBNL evolves its capabilities as an Infrastructure Manager, safety leadership is critical. This role ensures that health and safety is not owned by HSE alone, but embedded within the business, understood at the frontline, and governed at an enterprise level. By providing strong direction and insight, you’ll help protect people, communities, and assets—while enabling safe delivery at scale and pace. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Central Reading office.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
