Senior Health & Safety Engineer
Join us as a Senior Health & Safety Engineer (Senior Engineer II, Health & Safety Manufacturing) and play a vital role in protecting our manufacturing workforce. You'll combine technical expertise with strategic leadership to build a world-class safety program that makes a real difference every day.
What will you do?
- Assist in maintaining appropriate metrics, evaluate data trending, and provide data input to management reviews, with a view to continuous improvement and enhancement of EHS performance.
- Assist with the implementation of EHS policies, practices, guidelines, and procedures. Identify location-specific requirements for each area and participate in the development of related programs and policies.
- Assist in developing training programs and conduct training to comply with regulatory corporate EHS initiatives.
- Supervise the incident/accident investigation process including root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Conduct environment, health and safety audits and risk assessments. Participate in external EHS compliance audits and loss prevention audits.
- Coordinate the completion of all corrective actions with site personnel resulting from risk assessments, compliance audits or loss prevention audits.
- Guarantee to the plant manager compliance to regulations in the field of Health & Safety, Environment.
- Function as a technical EHS resource for management and the safety committee. Lead the site safety committee.
- Participate in the site’s Continuous Improvement/Lean/5S activities. Provide recommendations for improving EHS practices within the facility.
- Oversee site ergonomics program with assistance from third party resource.
- Coordinate with regional security manager to ensure appropriate life safety measures are in place.

What qualifications will make you successful?
Qualifications/Experience
- NEBOSH Diploma and a certified member of IOSH.
- Proven experience of minimum 5 years in Employee Health & Safety work and activities related to environmental governance in manufacturing industries.
- Desirable – Qualified ISO auditor.

Compensation and Benefits
For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 57,600 - GBP 86,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
