Senior Health and Safety Advisor
HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Ltd. and Murphy Joint Venture (HMJV)
London, New Cross
Full Time (45 hours per week)
£65,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on skills and experience (plus company car or car allowance)
About the Role
HOCHTIEF and Murphy (HMJV) are looking to expand our project team with a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Health and Safety Advisor to be based in our London Power Tunnels (LPT2) project in New Cross, London.
You will be required to lead and be accountable for the health and safety on LPT2 and NWLU Project, ensuring all individuals are provided with the appropriate leadership and support.
You will advise and support HMJV Directors, Managers, and Supervisors to discharge their H&S responsibilities regarding their employees and others to whom they have a duty as defined by Legislation and HMJV Procedures.

The role requires you to liaise with the Client on a regular basis, being able to establish positive relationships and trust and lead on ad-hoc health and safety projects i.e. Improvement Plans, Supervisor Development Programmes etc. as required by the Project Director and the Client.
Please note: This role will be office based 5 days per week.
About You
It is essential that you have a relevant H&S Membership at Senior Level (e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH, IEMA, CQI) and have extensive experience in a H&S role, preferably in tunnelling industry.
You must have a solid understanding of the requirements of the ISO 9001, 14001, and BS OHSAS 18001 standards and have Microsoft package knowledge (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project).
