Senior Health and Safety Manager
About the Role
Make Safety Matter. Shape the Future of Sustainable Energy.
At enfinium, safety isn't just a priority, it's a core value that underpins everything we do. As one of the UK's leading energy-from-waste operators, we're transforming unrecyclable waste into critical low-carbon energy and supporting the UK's transition to a Net Zero future.
We're looking for an experienced and influential Senior Health & Safety Manager to help lead that journey.
This is a high-profile role with the opportunity to shape health and safety strategy across our operational sites, construction projects and corporate functions. Working closely with Plant Managers, Construction Project Managers, SHEQ teams and senior leaders, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening our safety culture, driving continuous improvement and ensuring every colleague and contractor returns home safely every day.
If you're passionate about making a tangible difference, influencing positive change and working in an organisation where safety truly comes first, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Senior Health & Safety Manager, you'll be a trusted advisor and visible leader across the business, helping to create a culture where safety excellence is embedded in everything we do.
-
Lead Health & Safety Excellence
Provide expert guidance and strategic support across enfinium's operational and construction activities. You'll partner with teams across the business to ensure health and safety considerations are at the heart of decision-making.
-
Drive a Positive Safety Culture
Lead the development and delivery of our safety culture programme, encouraging positive behaviours, continuous learning and personal ownership of safety at every level of the organisation.
-
Ensure Compliance and Best Practice
Support the business in maintaining full compliance with UK health and safety legislation and industry standards. You'll oversee audits, inspections and assurance activities while identifying opportunities to raise standards even further.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
