What This Role Is All About
We’re looking for a Senior Healthcare Analyst to deliver high-quality healthcare and claims analysis that supports effective claims fund management, clinical risk insight, and performance improvement. Working as a senior member of the Healthcare Analytics team, the role will conduct defined workstreams, translate complex data into clear evidence-based insight, and help senior clinical, operational, and commercial stakeholders make informed choices. The position will also provide specialist expertise within a defined clinical or fraud domain and strengthen analytical quality, consistency, and best practice across the function.
Key Actions
- Be in charge of complex work across claims fund performance, healthcare utilisation, clinical risk, fraud, and provider benchmarking, taking ownership of defined workstreams within wider projects
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to large and complex healthcare and claims datasets to connect significant trends, emerging risks, performance opportunities, and areas requiring further investigation
- Translate complex findings into clear, compelling narratives that enable senior clinical, operational, and commercial stakeholders to make evidence-based outcomes
- Provide informed judgment on complex or ambiguous business problems, assessing available evidence and escalating material methodological, data quality, or risk concerns where appropriate
- Develop specialist expertise within a defined clinical or fraud domain, shaping analytical approaches and providing authoritative input across relevant projects and initiatives
- Ensure analytical methodologies, outputs, and recommendations are accurate, robust, and defensible for use within regulated healthcare and insurance decision-making
- Act as a senior analytical reference point for colleagues, promoting consistency, supporting quality assurance, and sharing specialist knowledge across healthcare analytics delivery
- Contribute to the development and adoption of best practice, documentation, and reusable methods that strengthen capability and improve the efficiency of the function
- Build effective relationships across the business, confidently communicating complex findings and their implications to stakeholders at all levels
- Support the development of scalable analytical assets, dashboards, and reporting solutions that provide repeatable, accessible, and efficient insight

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
