Senior Healthcare Assistant | Bristol | £17–£23 per hour
Location: Bristol, with placements across the surrounding area including Yate, Bath, Kingswood, Filton, Thornbury, and Portishead
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our agency care home team, covering placements across Bristol and the surrounding area. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents, supporting their daily needs, and supervising junior staff. This position offers an opportunity to lead with compassion and professionalism, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.
Rates of pay range from £17–£23 per hour depending on shift pattern, with enhanced rates for weekends and bank holidays.

Duties Include
- Delivering personalised care in line with individual care plans, ensuring residents' dignity and independence are maintained
- Supervising and supporting junior care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership
- Assisting residents with daily activities such as mobility, personal hygiene, medication management, and meal preparation
- Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided, including updates to care plans and incident reports
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery
- Supporting residents' emotional wellbeing through companionship and engaging activities
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures
- Contributing to the organisation's training programmes by sharing expertise in senior care practices

Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home environment specialising in senior care is essential
- Proven supervisory experience demonstrating leadership skills within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Competence in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- A valid driving licence is desirable
