Senior Care Assistant – Team Leader (Nights)

Lulworth House Residential Care Home, Maidstone, Kent
Pay: from £14.60 per hour, depending on experience.
Hours: 33 hours/week, night shifts.

Why Nellsar?

Family-run since 1988, 13 care homes across Kent, Surrey, and Essex. We're an Equal Opportunity employer; we value diversity and inclusion and want everyone on our team to feel they belong.

Why nights at Lulworth House?

Once the home settles for the night, you're the most senior person in the building. You lead the night team, you're trusted with medication, and residents and families rely on you to keep things calm, safe, and dignified until morning. It's a role with real autonomy, right for someone who's ready to lead, not just assist.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the night team and being the senior point of contact when the Deputy or Registered Manager isn't on site
  • Taking responsibility for medication administration and related procedures
  • Making sound, calm decisions when something unexpected comes up, and knowing when to escalate
  • Delivering clear, accurate handovers so day staff pick up seamlessly
  • Keeping records accurate and up to date i.e., incidents, concerns, changes in need
  • Supporting your team so residents get warm, person-centred care through the night, not just supervision

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
